Yogyakarta Toward Monkey Abuse Free

Kamis Minggu lalu (26/7/2018), kami mendapat berita bagus. Bagus sekali. Sebuah pesan teks masuk ke gawai pintar kami, "Mas, suratnya sudah bisa diambil". Wow! Setelah sekian tahun--sejak tahun 2015 tepatnya--kami secara 'keras kepala' mengirim surat demi surat, telepon demi telepon, agar Pemda DIY mengeluarkan pelarangan Topeng Monyet.
Kemudian, Juni tahun ini (2018) Pemda DIY mulai memberikan harapan. Kami diundang audiensi dengan Dinas Pertanian Provinsi terkait surat-surat kami.
Dan pada akhirnya 26 Juli 2018 keluarlah surat edaran penertiban Topeng Monyet di DIY.
Perjuangan belum berakhir! Setelah ini kami masih harus mendesak pemerintah kabupaten & kota untuk mengikuti instruksi tersebut. Dan tidak lupa, mengawal proses pelaksanaan putusan tersebut.

Last Thursday (26/7/2018), A notification blipped onto our cellphone, and you know what? It was a good news, a VERY GOOD news. "The letter is now available & can be used." AT LAST! After countless letters and phone calls expressing our concern and plea to the government to ban topeng monyet (dancing monkey), this June (2018) the office responded, and invited AFJ to attend the audience regarding this issue.
AND NOW! 26 July 2018 the Government of Special Region of Yogyakarta, officially issued the regulation to ban dancing monkey throughout the Special Region of Yogyakarta.
But the fight isn't over yet, we still have to monitor and support the enforcement of these new regulation & ban.
Report! Educate! And be our eyes and ears!
