Location: Yogyakarta || 6 working days (8.30am to 4.30pm with flexy time*)
Type: 1-year contract (with a chance to become permanent)

ROLE:
In this role, you will contribute to improving the lives of animals in Indonesia, by leading, planning, communicating, coordinating, and successfully implementing AFJ campaigns. This is a high-profile post that demands a skilled and innovative campaign professional, capable of inspiring teammates and key stakeholders alike in support of the campaigns. The post holder will also be required to lead campaigns on general issues of animal welfare.
You will work closely with the Farmed Animal Program Manager and a team of staff, to plan, design, execute and manage our active campaigns. Aside from staff, you will also foster and develop the capacity of volunteers to assist with the farmed animal program activities that support the success of our program and campaigns.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Be proactive in PDEM (Planning, Designing, Executing and Managing) AFJ’s active campaigns in collaboration with the Program Manager.
- Establish cooperative relationships with the government and related institutions/stakeholders associated with AFJ.
- Lead and implement active campaigns in collaboration with the Program Manager.
- Represent the organization in outreach activities associated with AFJ active campaigns.
- Conduct both online and fieldwork research to collect campaign support data and/or compile AFJ work plans, including investigation plans and executions.
- Create correspondence and documents required for cooperation or relationships with related institutions.
- Create campaign reports regularly and in a timely manner.
- Input campaign progress on AFJ’s website and ensure that all activities related to campaign programs are recorded in the activity reports.
- Document and create a monthly report that is concise and transparent, to be sent to all AFJ board members by the end of each month via e-mail.
- Work closely with the Program Manager and Social Media Manager to create social marketing posts, press releases, other marketing media, and distribute them via e-mail, WhatsApp, and other marketing tools.
- Receive information on all AFJ’s activities and process it into activity reports.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE
- Degree OR proven experience in communications/organizational management/program management/animal welfare management, or another relevant field.
- Several years’ related job experience (favourable).
- Exceptional project management and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and delegation skills.
- Passionate about animal welfare and have an understanding of working in/with NGOs or charitable organizations.
- Excellent time and task management skills.
- Critical thinking skills with strong problem-solving ability.
- Successfully manage multiple campaigns running at the same time.
- Excellent presentation and public speaking skills.
- Be fluent in both spoken and written English.
- Maintain the confidentiality of all sensitive work and data from other staff, volunteers, and outside parties (the public).
