AFJ is looking for an individual who has a strong passion and commitment for animal welfare, is results-oriented, versatile, and skilled to fill the position.
Terms of Employment: Full Time (5 working days, 8.30 am-5.30 pm)
Position Location: Bantul, Yogyakarta, Indonesia

ABOUT THIS POSITION:
Responsible for designing, developing, implementing, monitoring and following up on campaign and advocacy strategies to end the dog and cat meat trade in Indonesia. This position will ensure that activities at the regional level, specifically but not limited to DIY Province and beyond, are aligned with and support the national campaign and advocacy strategy of the Dog Meat Free Indonesia (DMFI) coalition.
This position is a unique opportunity to contribute to AFJ and the DMFI coalition's mission to holistically end the dog and cat meat trade in Indonesia.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

Design, develop, implement, monitor and follow up on campaign and advocacy strategies to end the dog and cat meat trade in Indonesia in collaboration with AFJ team and DMFI coalition;

Collaborate with AFJ's founder and team to find ways to improve and run holistic animal welfare programs, including community education, dog and cat sterilization activities, and rabies control activities to support the campaign to end the dog and cat meat trade;

Act as a spokesperson, implementer, and person in charge of establishing relationships and cooperation with stakeholders at the grassroots level, government and other parties related to AFJ's active campaigns for the improvement of animal welfare and represent the organization in various forums;

Create, develop and manage draft activity budgets and program progress reports;

Other duties as needed and requested.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Strong motivation to contribute to work that helps animals and/or creates a better world.

Degree or proven experience in communications/organizational management/program management/animal welfare management, or other relevant field.

Excellent managerial skills, such as: strategic planning; management of organization, projects, resources, and priorities in executing and following up on daily tasks, issues, and responsibilities to meet established deadlines.

Confident, positive, have critical thinking skills with strong problem-solving ability, and be adept at communicating with various parties from different backgrounds.

Possesses an attention to detail, excellent report writing skills and the ability to manage strict budgets and time deadlines.

Well Informed and educated in the issue of the dog meat trade, and familiar with the Dog Meat Free Indonesia campaign.

Minimum of 1 year work experience, preferably in NGOs or non-profit organizations.

Have the ability to work both independently and as an effective team member, and the ability to do field and administrative work.

Be fluent in both oral and written English.
